JOB OR MINISTRY – Some people have a job in the Church. Others involve themselves in ministry. What’s the difference? If you do it just because no one else will… it’s a job. If you do it to serve God… it’s a ministry. If you quit because someone criticized you…it’s a job. If you keep serving in spite of criticism… it’s a ministry. If you quit because no one thanked you… it’s a job. If you stay even though no one notices your efforts…it’s a ministry. If you do it because someone else said it needed to be done… it’s a job. If you do it because you sensed God saying it needs to be done…it’s a ministry. It’s hard to get excited about a job. It’s almost impossible not to get excited about a ministry! An average Church is filled with people doing jobs. A great and growing Church is filled with people involved in ministry. St. Anne’s is planning a “Ministry Fair” where you will have the opportunity to sign up for one or many of the ministries in this Church. Please pray about this opportunity to serve and contribute here & be ready when the time comes. ATTENTION PARISHIONERS! Fr. Bill would like a list of all those who take communion to shut-ins or family members unable to come to Mass. Please call the office at 745-3229. If you are aware of anyone who would like to have communion brought to them, kindly call the office. ST VINCENT DE PAUL BUNDLE SUNDAY was a great success thanks to your generosity. Thank you to all who brought in donations. PRAYERS FOR DIOCESAN COMMUNITY: Today, we pray for the people & clergy of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Hastings & its mission Sacred Heart in Harwood that by word & deed, they may show forth the faith of the Church in an ever more convincing way ST.
