Call VEYO 749-0330 or email: youth@veyopeterboro.org DIOCESAN DEBT COLLECTION – JULY 18/19 BISHOP’S LETTER: You should have received a letter from Bishop DeAngelis, regarding the diocesan debt. Having taken advice from the Diocesan Finance Committee and others, he is again appealing directly to all parishioners for assistance with the remaining debt. Please read his letter carefully & remember that the Lord Himself calls you to respond to this, as to all things, with faith, hope and love. A special collection for the diocesan debt will be taken on the weekend of July 18 & 19, 2009. If you forget your envelope, it can be brought in the next weekend as well. Envelopes for this purpose can be found in your envelope box and at the entrance to the Church. The multi-million dollar debt is crippling this diocese, limiting what the Bishop and his collaborators, the priest can do. It has negative consequences for all of us, including this parish. The debt has been a problem for many years. In all Christian charity, please consider what help you can give in restoring the local Catholic Church to financial health.
